Alan’s pawn has great customer service. Very kind employees and a beautiful selection of jewelry. My ring had gotten damaged and was almost 2 & 1/2 sizes too big. Alan’s promised to have it fixed within to full weeks, it only took them a week to have a ready!! It’s perfect and you can’t tell it was ever worked on!! I’ll be getting more from them soon!!

I had no idea what I was doing.. Totally lost. I went to a few other places in the Asheville area and left empty handed and somewhat overlooked. I didn’t expect much from Alan’s thinking it was a pawn shop but it had good reviews so I decided to check it out. Don’t let the name fool you, this place is a beautiful, legitimate jewelry store with knowledgeable staff. Emily was so great and personable and patient with me. She walked me through step by step giving me so much information. I am forever grateful I stopped in there and for her sweet personality being who helped me. I don’t know if anyone will ever see this but I promise you this place doesn’t disappoint. I just got engaged 3 days ago and had I stopped at the name I may still be lost and putting off asking the love of my life to marry me.

I love the experience and environment here. Great staff and stuff. I always check Alan Jewelry and Pawn for what I want before going to other places. I have brought a few items here, a JBC speaker that works like new and jewelry that I love for the best prices. Thank you guys for all your hard work.

It was a great! Experience. They treated me great and gave me a great deal on movies. Something that is precious to me and didn't want to sell them. They knew that this meant alot to me. Alan’s always takes care of my jewelry needs. Sherrie is always so helpful and pleasant. They have replaced batteries, repaired and sized. I have purchased prices from them and they are always upfront and honest. They also clean without charge. Even if they didn’t sell or repair it. I highly recommend!

Emily was super helpful and patient with us when my sister came in to look at rings. Emily showed my sister a variety of rings, always patiently allowing time to admire. There was never any pressure from her to make a purchase or to go with a particular ring, but she was supportive and explained payment options. We were grateful for Emily’s kind assistance!

Overall, pretty decent shop. They offer good prices, staff is generally friendly. My one concern would be that on two occasions now I’ve found fake games. I would watch buying any type of valuable/retro games. They clearly don’t know how to authenticate them when they buy them, and stick fake games on the shelf. The clerk seemed pretty offended when I told him the game was fake. It’s pokemon crystal. Don’t buy it if they stick it back on the shelf. Actually, I wouldn’t buy any valuable game here. You’re taking a risk if you don’t know what to look for.

I've bought several pieces of jewelry from Alan's, along with laptops and computers. I've always had great service and the knowledge of the staff have been 100% . I still wear the ring I bought for my mother before she passed. It looks as beautiful today as the day I got it.

Im extremely pleased with this place I cashed a check and was assisted immediately by a very kind worker. They helped me and had me on my way very satisfied in record time. Linda was a gem. She took time to show me all the jewelry I wanted to see and try on. She was not pushy. Since Linda was so nice and helpful I bought 2 rings. The pawn shop is neat and clean. I will be back.

Jacob greeted me as I walked into the store and made me feel genuinely welcomed! As a first time customer and not from the area this was a super plus. The selection was just as satisfying, there is something for everyone's taste. The quality of merchandise was equally to the quality of customer service, and professionalism.

They have a lot of good stuff and good people but they are TRULY a rip off!!!!! 99.9999999% of ALL merchandise in ANY pawn shop is used, old, &/or even damaged in some way but Alan's prices are WAY TOO close to brand new stuff. Actually even MORE expensive than new stuff at many other places. How the HELL do they get away with this??? I want to say more but no time for this Don't waste your money there when equal items at Target, Walmart, and Best Buy are WAY cheaper and actually NEW!!!!

I have purchased beadwork, pearls and 3 guitars through Alan's Jewelry and Pawn. The guitar I got today I am very pleased with, it is in excellent condition. Linda was very helpful, pleasant and respectful. I have dealt with many pawn shops over the years, Alan's Jewelry and Pawn is top notch!

I’ve been going to Alan’s Pawn since 2011. I especially like the Tunnel Rd location over the one on Patton. If it wasn’t for Sean’s great customer service at the Tunnel Rd store, I wouldn’t even bother with Alan’s Pawn. I’ve known Sean for about 8 years now. Sean, John, Trevor, and Manager Nick treat me like family and I remember things like that to always maintain my business with them. The people at the Patton store are terrible at customer service and don’t even bother to get to know their customers. They have no personality and are more like company robots! If you want great service people, then go to the Tunnel Rd store over the Patton store. By the way, the five stars is for ONLY the Tunnel Rd location and NOT for Alan’s Pawn as a whole or the other locations!!! Sincerely, # S.E.B. ( Asheville, NC )

Sherri was very helpful today. She helped me choose a watch band and a necklace to go with a pendant I also purchased. I had never been in this establishment before and I am sure to return because of the great service I received.

So the last visit when I pawned my guitar the sales attendant was nice and professional easy going as usual however when I went and paid off the $234.00 to retrieve my guitar the case insert compartment still had my digital tuner, and my capo however my glass slide and my shoulder strap along with my ‘special’ picks some being ones that Warren Haynes and Govt Mule actually used at a Christmas Jam here in downtown Asheville a few years ago, well those were all missing. I was a stagehand for the union and worked Moogfests and gigs at the civic center, Thomas Wolfe, McCormick field (Nelly/Fla Ga Line anyone?) The sales associate seemed to be understanding and invited me to search a glass case down along the side wall (past the firearms, Tunnel Rd location) and although I didn’t find my glass slide, I was 100% certain I’d located my strap. To my dismay and disgust he then informed me that he would need me to purchase it back from the store. Sure felt like a dirty bait and switch tactic. The only associate I have ever witnessed be rude and unprofessional, the tall big fella that’s only been there less than a year, the moody guy who obviously doesn’t appreciate his career choice. Very unhappy and now will sell gold etc at the pawn shop in Arden or Brevard as they are always super nice.

With today's rising prices on everything, sometimes I need a little financial help, until the next payday! Alan's is more then willing to help with a product I need to pawn. Clean store, helpful staff, in and out either to pawn, or to get my merchandise. Greatful for them!

When shopping for jewelry it never occurred to me to look in a pawn shop. I had never been in a pawn shop. This all to say, I was genuinely surprised and impressed. Alan's has a professional and friendly staff, informative but not high pressure. Most importantly the selection far exceeded my expectations -- really unique estate pieces and engagement rings. You can spend more, or you can just check out Alan's Jewelry first! They check all the boxes for me, the prices were lower than other jewelers I've shopped but the selection and quality comparable.

Terrible experience selling my jewelry at the Patton store. The original person at the counter took my jewelry behind the counter to where I could not see it (not really an issue but when you have many items it can be concerning) he comes back to the counter without my jewelry an offers me way less than what I had been offered at other pawn shops in the area so I mention this and they bring Kory or Cory? Over to speak with me and he was very rude claiming Alans pays the most in town and would not listen to me when I was explaining the other offers. First time customer… last time customer.

I waited in line holding a laptop and printer I didn’t need anymore and was looked at several times by several employees before finally being called over. As I’m walking up to the counter the guy looks at me and says “I’ll look at the uh comp. Prin. We’re not taking laptops or printers right now.” So which is it? You are or you aren’t. The thing for me is I feel like I was stereotyped for looking young. I’m 34 years old, but they looked at me and said “I’m not dealing with him.” If your going to do business here, make sure you send grandpa in or you’re going to be judged by employees just for the way you look. I will never do business here, and I’m going to leave this review in as many places as I can. Thanks for nothing Allen’s.

Personally not much of a fan anymore. When Alan was actually in the shop it was far better back in the day. He would chat and not make you feel like a lowlife. The people in charge of this store generally are cold and a bad attitude.

Billy helped me sort through guitar options, patiently answered my questions, and offered to help carry my items to my car. Clean, orderly store (Patton Ave). Will definitely shop there again.

I've been to every pawn shop In asheville and by far the worst and down right dirtiest deals happen at Alan's I had a brand new sub speaker I had just bought from Allen's in the box needed money like a month later so I took it back in to get a loan. The gentlemen said I can loan u 20 bucks I was like I bought it from yall for 119 hes like they only go online for 80. That's when I couldn't believe they selling stuff 30 percent higher than the new listing I said something about them over charging me in the first place all the man had to say is u should have done your home work. I've never felt more disgusted.. the few times I went before that they always want alot for stuff and never give u anything for pawning stuff... leceister pawn and gun is the place to go 3 mins down the road they nice work with u and got cheaper things in general.... leceister always give me a good pawn value on anything I ever bring them.

We received some of the best customer service I have experienced. The lady assisting us was incredibly kind to my 88 year old mother-in-law helping her with two repairs and a purchase. Not everyone takes time for the elderly, but this person seemed to genuinely enjoy helping her. If I lived closer all my jewelry purchases would be made here.

Alan's Jewelry and Pawn is an suburb and excellent place to buy jewelry! I've bought jewelry there since 2016, a diamond & platinum ring. I love it madly to this day. I've gotten a huge blue sapphire as a gift from my husband, a green one from my dad- the list goes on. If you buy diamonds or sapphires ( not sure about their insurance rules, because all I've gotten have been sapphires or diamonds) but all of the jewelry I've bought from them have insurance. Most importantly, the staff do whatever they can to make sure that you are well taken care of- the manager, Rocky, the lovely lady who sold me my first ring, Kerry, Sherry , Wesley ,whose been in the business for 49 years, and Tonia, the kindest Lady. If you want great jewelry without the jewelry store mark up- go to Alan's! I promise you won't be disappointed. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Ten stars .
