Easy to sign up. Easy to consolidate debt. I was able to save a lot of money. I even was able to pay off my debt faster then there plan. And that’s where I problem is. They claim once you pay them in full. They will pay off your creditors and you are done. The problem is I paid off my debt early and they still have not closed my account out. They still drafted the money out of my account for the normal payment when they told me they would not. Now when I call customer service they can not help. They say another person will have to call me back in 5 to 7 days. What kind of customer service is that. Guess what they don’t call. They are quick to take your money. But they are slow as hell to stop taken your money. Save yourself the hassle of dealing with this company and go with one with better customer service.

WORST MISTAKE OF MY LIFE!!!! :( Please learn from my mistake and steer clear of AMERICOR’s sales pitch. #1. They keep 25% of the value you present to them, even if they do not settle for 50%. Most of my accounts were not settled for 50%. They also have extra fees charge every month. #2. I have court documents permanently placed in public records, showing my court hearings due to defaults (using this plan). #3. My credit score has gone from a 750 to a 500 due to this process, causing high interest rates. #4. I have received documents that I have to file with my taxes for the amount not paid( the negotiated amount settled was of course less than what I initially owed) In the end, I am paying more than what I presented to Americor. I only left Americor paying $2,000 less than what I presents to them. This amount is after all their fees. I am paying high interest rates due to the bad credit created using AMERICOR’s plan, causing me to owe more! We also have to file the amount not paid during tax season. My experience, in a nut shell: I have horrible credit, I have this showing on my public records, in the end I owe more money, I will pay what is due this tax season. Not a good plan!! During the process I found customer service to be very inexperienced. I was always speaking to a different person and they all had completely different explanations and balances. Americor explains how they will convert it to a loan after a year, and they failed there too. I had to find my own source to pay them off, as mentioned above, once again, with bad credit causing high interest rates! This place is a FRAUD!!! Save yourself grief, stress, time and money. Consolidation through a reputable bank or credit union is the best advice I would like to give. Don’t use these companies that ruin peoples lives for their own capital benefit. Please see pictures for facts, since Americor wants to portray that I was never a customer. Another reason why not to deal with this company. Picture with their outrageous fees. Program summary picture is false, but this is the picture they paint for you. Program summary picture add 25% of $42,000, to the 28,000…plus the extra charges for transactions etc… it’s not worth it. I have attached my tax document: the amount not paid, will add to your total amount of income for the year. I have also attached the Warrant submitted to me from the courthouse. THE ONLY REASON I AM DOING THIS REVIEW IS TO HELP OTHERS. There are times in our lives that we get ourselves in situations and we become vulnerable, but please learn from my mistake. Americor has made everything worse for me. Do you remember me now, Americor!! One thing I don’t like to be called is a liar!

I am not joking when I say I was over my shoulders in debt. I felt alone, like no one could help and worst of all... that I would be scammed if I tried to get help. I stumbled across Americor online and gave them a shot, this was the best choice I could've made. They created a plan with me for how to handle my debt, negotiated on my behalf and made me feel like I wasn't alone. Americor helped me to put my life back on track and I will forever be grateful and sing their praises.

Customer service is top-notch with this program. Even when I cancelled they were great. The only area of improvement would be to inform customers of the time it will take complete the interview, so that they have the time to see it through. They kinda “bait and switch” you, so that you think you are applying for just a loan, to consolidate debt, not knowing that this is a whole program. Finally, I was uncomfortable with the fact that I was being instructed to go delinquent on my credit card accounts, so that they agree to a settlement amount. The program is ideal if you are already delinquent, in collections, or at the point of bankruptcy. Not recommended if your accounts are in good standing, in that case, find another way.

Started in September 2021. So far so good they negotiated 4 out of my 6 accounts already saving me half of what I owed. Your credit score will go down a lot which sucks but now it is slowly going back up. I’m looking forward to the outcome.

4/19/22 Update: The last message I received from Americor was from 4/12 and it was not regarding anything of this complaint. I would be happy to respond appropriately had I received any message regarding lowering my payment especially since I have been waiting for a response for the past week and was told last time I spoke to your company that I would receive a message. Not only does Americor fail to properly negotiate their customer's account but they lie about it too. :) I look forward to ACTUALLY hearing from you regarding this. Americor failed to negotiate a settlement with my Discover account and therefor my wages were garnished. Americor then refused to lower my monthly payments. They continued to take the same fees for themselves despite failing to do what they said they would do. The customer service representative admitted that they have trouble negotiating with Discover and American Express and that this frequently happens with Discover those accounts.
Messages have been left for the customer from the appropriate representative. We hope that the customer will review her emails and texts and respond accordingly for future assistance.

Overall not a bad program if you are in an extremely bad situation. Here is the catch, you have to wait a whole year to receive the loan portion of this program and there is no guarantee that you will be approved. During that year of waiting, Americor is asking you to not pay your debts while they negotiate a settlement yet you are paying them a fee. Why do that? So just evaluate your situation before you decide.

Do not use this service!!!! First off Americor will promise you outcomes they cannot produce. Secondly Americor is hard to get ahold of when you do need something and they lie to you when you finally get someone. I wasted almost 3 years with this company and everything they promised me in the beginning became a lie. I tied up thousands of dollars just for them to keep asking for more money. Trust me when I tell you Americor is a scam!!!! Save yourself years of headaches.

Stay away I was told I were able to get a loan to pay off my remaining debt in a year I was denied. My credit is in worst shape than when I started the program. Don't let them sell you on going delinquent with your credit cards accounts it's just going to create a mess for you to clean up.

The agent who contacted me at first made me feel very comfortable while talking to him on the phone, made me feel like I was going to have a good experience working my accounts out of debt with Americor but now after I paid off what I was supposed to pay they are asking for another 10 months of payments. In July they told me I was short $1800 to settle the last account, then in September $2400, October $1800 again and every month they change the amount and don't help at all with the negotiation to settle the account as I was supposed to finish in October. If you have debt and need to work with a trustful company this is not one of them, they are liars and wont help only will charge you 25% of your debt and when you finish paying the program they will try to cancel it and refund you a few pennies and ask you to keep working by your self. They offered me to settle my accounts for 50 to 60 % of the debt and now they are asking 90%. I filed a complaint with the BBB but did not help so I want to warn people about this fraudulent company. Beware of them as I will end up paying more money than what I owed. They also have very rude people working for them and will respond to you until you do what I am doing now or file a complaint to BBB.

Everything went smoothly throughout the whole process for me. When I did not understand something or had a question, whoever answered the phone was able to help me by explaining everything in terms I could understand and helping me to feel comfortable. I have so far made 24 on time payments, totaling over $12,000. Three accounts total! Two they are paying on, and one they haven’t even started! 2 years into the program! Now I’m getting people coming to my door, serving me court papers, along with multiple court documents in the mail! The two they are paying on, only add up to $6,000! But they say that they can’t start negotiations until they get more money! And my credit score went down about 230 points! I so wish I never signed up with this company!!!!

The reason we sometimes need additional funds is that with funds going to your other account, the amount of funds needed in the dedicated balance is higher. Since the debt is in summons the term lengths on those settlements are shorter meaning more up front funds are needed. Horrible experience. They are very misleading. They explain that your credit will only take a hit for 3 to 4 months. That is not the case. Toward the end of my contract the wheels began to move very slowly. I spoke with multiple operators from americore, was told a different story everytime and was promised call backs from other departments. I never received any of them. I requested pay off balances, made large deposits to the company thinking I was done with them only to find out they said I still owed more. Everything jumped around so much while moving so slowly I couldn't keep track. My credit is full of delinquencies and charge offs. My future plans are no longer possible. I should have done my research. I got myself into this mess but Americore only added fuel to the fire.

At the time of enrollment,We provided you an estimated payoff quote and you were asked to bring in more funds due to the estimation provided being lower than the actual funds needed to settle their remaining debt. It is important to note that Payoff Quotes are estimates, and can change based on creditor guidelines (such as number of payments, age of debt, etc.), which is why we notified you when you requested the Payoff Quotes that these figures are not exact. Upon a thorough review of your account, you only had to bring in an additional $160.00 to settle your final account. Your aggregate at the time of completing your program was at 50.58%, which is fantastic as we successfully negotiated your debt load for half of what you joined the program with. We wish you all the best in your future endeavors.

Honestly, I've not written many reviews in my life but I feel compelled to do so today. I want to say that Carlos has been professional, friendly, took his time with me which means he didn't rush me at all. He also took the time to answer all of my questions ( and I had many!). About a year ago I had an experience with another company and it was most unpleasant. The guy talked a million miles an hour, tried to talk over my head and seemed agitated when I asked questions. Carlos was just the opposite. This is a very important financial decision to make for anyone and after talking with Carlos and going through the sign in experience I feel very comfortable dealing with Americor and feel like they will treat me honestly and fairly. Terrible. Hold times are endless, the person you finally get can't help you, there is no person dedicated to your account, and your credit will be in the swamp for years and years to come. You're much better off just negotiating with your own creditors, they are not doing anything you can't do yourself.
The customer's account was escalated to the attention of the appropriate leadership. The newly assigned Negotiator has been in touch with the customer with an update and will follow-up again at the end of the week. These people are lazy and non responsive. My wife worked with them and they did nothing that was originally promised and left our credit in shambles. Please take my advise and go elsewhere for help.
It is unfortunate you're dissatisfied with our services, because we performed as contracted. The account is currently 39 months into a 48 month program. Five of her Eight enrolled accounts have been completely settled; Three is in a term settlement and the final account has been assigned for settlement. Your wife's account settlement aggregate surpasses our target. She was fully educated about our service during the enrollment process and her signed enrollment documents signify that she both understood and agreed to our loan requirements. She was also educated about the effects of participation in our program. We apologize for any frustration this has caused you.

you are better off reaching out to your banks by yourself. many of them are offering assistance due to the pandemic, and i was able to reach a settlement with one of my banks within a day without ruining my credit, while i’ve been paying americor for half a year and my credit has dropped 200 points. americor has stolen almost a thousand dollars from me. i had to put a “stop payment” with my bank so they’d stop taking my money in unauthorized charges. the people i worked with were very misleading, dodgy, and sketchy overall. all their workers will tell you different things and in the end they just want your money. do yourself the favor and reach out to your creditors first!

I found this company to be above board, trustworthy, and credible. Its hard to trust with so much fraud going on especially on the internet. And finding help with loan products is even harder. The talent at this company is professional and beyond helpful. Their interest in you as a person goes well beyond some commissioned sales gig. They truly care about people, their financial needs, and the responsibility that goes with representing credit debt solutions. They gave my wife and I the time it took to complete an application and see it through to completion. We did change our mind in the end but were given the respect to make our mind up with their concern being evident about our financial future. Of course they're soft selling a product but with the intention of avoiding excessive interest and with low risk results. When trying to settle an account I could not get a straight answer from anyone. I called four different times and received four different answers. The amount they wanted to charge even with a settlement was outrageous. Even offering to get them a settlement amount they refused to settle they were going to continue monthly payments and was told I would still be in debt by almost 4000.00 dollars. This was for all of the extra charges. They let me go into collections with a chance of getting my wages attached and was told once I got the garnishment then and only then would they start negotiations. And when offering to get a lump sum if money they still refused to start negotiations. I did not feel they were there to help me. All I wanted was to get this paid and removed from my credit. I felt very let down and unheard.

I thought they were negotiating my debt down. Now I have been summoned to court to pay a debt that is in their program. I have paid them over $8000 in payments over the last 16 months and now I have to go to court and risk a Leon on my property and wage garnishment. When I called to let them know I am being summoned they tell me to keep my head up and send more money to the account so they can negotiate the settlement. If I had the money I wouldn’t be using the services. Then I proceeded to look at my account to see that they received over $3000 in fees for settling one account. I feel so defeated bc my credit is garbage. It’s so bad my own child won’t approve me for a $5 loan. They are liars about helping you fix your credit. Please don’t use them. Call the credit card companies yourself and settle your debt yourself.

Changed the date for my Draft Payment and they ignored it and took the money out anyways. Leaving me and my son unable to buy food. They said it is a priority to get it reversed and no comment on when. Also my total that I was promised to pay changed to almost the full total of my debt which defeats the purpose of using Americor. Advice…just work directly with your credit card company and work it out on your own.

I am Steven Horn. Client ID 604344 The program was going great, until it wasn’t. I received a summons to appear in court. One of my creditors, which I have enrolled in the program, is taking me to court. I have not missed a single payment in the program. That is hard to do. I sent Americor every bit of paperwork along the way. Every time I submit a document, I receive an email which seems to be an automated reply. They say they will be in touch and ask me to pay extra money into the account. They have not been in touch. They have not answered their phone when I’ve called. I went to court alone and ignorant against a major CC company this week. I was granted a continuance. I submitted info to Americor for the plaintiffs law firm. All I got from Americor was the same old response saying they would be in touch, and tell me I should put more money into my account. I replied to that email. They replied with the same non-service and almost mockingly encouraged me to put more money into my account. I have never failed to pay the agreed upon amount. Americor is failing me.

I was very pleased with the customer service, they followed up consistently and made themselves available with direct extensions and personal phone numbers. The only issue I have is that they were not as forth coming with the type of financial product they offer. I was under the impression that it was a credit consolidation loan. It turned out, they are more like a representative to negotiate with your creditors. I did not need a creditor negotiator so I declined their services.

I found Americor to be very professional. I spoke with someone that was clear and concise in what she was saying. She made sure I understood all that was involved in solving my problem with my credit. No matter how many times I would ask a question she answered without getting impatient or frustrated. I was on the phone with her for over an hour and when the conversation discontinued I fully understood everything. She also made sure I had numbers to contact if I thought of something after the phone call. I have been in customer service for 47 years I know good customer service when I see it ,hear it ,and experienced it. Kayden it was a wonderful experience.

SCAM!!! They will ruin your credit score and keep you in the program for a longer time just so you can pay for their fees on top of the settlement fees. My credit has been low since working with them in January. They first said it will take 2-3 months then 6 months and right before pulling out from their program they said a year to get my credit back to restoring. Then Qglobal the company they work with still deducted from my account and was never notified I cancelled my account with Americor. What a SCAM! Just negotiate with the creditors yourself because at least you will have a better credit score and won’t have to shell out all your money to pay their fees along with your fees to the creditors. Preying on people after a pandemic smh. Financial vultures.

If you are stressed out about your finances and don't know where to turn, I highly recommend giving Americor / Credit 9 a call. The Client Advocate who assisted me was extremely knowledgeable, caring and personable. Together we crafted a plan which has me feeling like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders, and I am now able to see a light at the end of the tunnel. My debt will be paid in a MUCH shorter length of time and I am out from under the high daily compounding interest that has been racking up. Americor has really helped me, and I am confident that they will do all they can to help you too. Good luck!

FYI - This review is being written while I am 14 months into the program. I read through many reviews and the program seems to work for some. I am happy for you. I am not happy for me and the others who are dissatisfied with Americor. I submitted 8 accounts into the program. There was one big piece of information that I did not fully understand. I thought the company was going to negotiate my accounts for a settlement, and I would make monthly payments until the settled balances were paid off. This is not completely true. Instead, I must have so much money in my "savings account" with them before a debt can be settled. For example, one of the accounts was almost 10 K, which to begin with would get Americor a hefty fee of $2500 (they get 25% of the original amount you owe) for settling the account. However, I found out (14 months into the program) before any negotiations may occur I would have to put $4000 in my "savings account" for that account negotiation. If I had $4000 to put in account, then I wouldn't have felt that I needed this company's alleged help. Did I mention this account is now in litigation with the court, and I have had to hire a lawyer to sift through all this? Thus, I believe this $10K account will play out in the courts with no help from Americor. I must honestly say I knew they made it clear up front they would offer no legal (they are not lawyers) help, but I did not think this process was going to need legal help. I thought the company was going to negotiate my accounts and not let them get into the courts. That is what I mean by no help from Americor. FYI - If Americor did negotiate all 8 of my accounts, then they would get a $6,979 fee. The promise of savings was not true either. My monthly payment to them is more than I was making to all 8 of the credit cards monthly, and their fee would take my beginning debt of 27,918 to 29,378 even with the alleged negotiated reduced debt. I imagine the savings would come by paying less interest because maybe I could get them paid off quicker. I would not do this again as I now know there are other options. My advice to anyone thinking about going with a debt settlement company is to weigh ALL your options before making a decision. No matter how desperate you feel with your debt, do some research first. NerdWallet has a great section on debt settlement within their website to help you weigh all your options. If you are wondering how I learned about Americor, it was through the multiple letter offers they were sending me. They found me; I didn't find them. I am looking forward to my "canned response" to my review below. Thanks for some but not enough help with my debt Americor.

I only gave 4 Stars because it is far to early to know the outcome of their program. As for the customer service and the personal attention I received from Carlos, he was exceptional. He was patient and through and understood my fear and apprehension. I am still somewhat anxious about all of the process and and getting through the next 6 months will be a test of will power and trust. I will say this, I would have tried this sooner as a way to attempt to get my debt under control had I known instead of a loan to try and do it myself. I’m not a very trusting person, but I do feel I made a good choice by following through.

I recently have let my credit debt spiral out of control. I wanted something where I can put it in one place and work potentially refiance to get a lower interest rate. The representative (Jacqueline) that I worked with was very friendly. I was very hesitant on joining the program and had my concerns. Jacqueline explained two programs to me in which I really liked one of them. After we signed documents, I registered on the portal and and noticed that I was in another plan. When I reviewed the documents I signed I missed where it showed the terms provided to me. When I called to inquire on it, I was told that the initial planned explained was not a plan they had to offer. I did ask why they offered it to me in the first place and all they answered was that it was a plan that they offered. They didn't go back to recordings to review. When I got in touch with Jacqueline she said she would have someone higher contact me. They did, but the same result. The program they placed me in will get me out of debt, but not the way it was originally explained. I wish they would have followed up with listening to the recording and then explain why another "plan" was offered. In speaking with customer service it is a hit or miss on the friendliness of the representative. But I did get to speak to some nice, helpful, understanding representatives, But that's also the case in every company. I hope this other "plan" goes well.

Customer service was amazing, Cody, the representative that helped me was wonderful and caring and knowledgeable and understanding. I felt comfortable and trusted him. However, as I started signing documents I got uneasy about how they actually did things. Definitely was not what I was expecting to consolidate my debt. I just emailed over cancellation papers before I even started the process. My mom started with them before covid and got sued by all her credit card companies and they only settled with like 2. I’m a single mom if 4 struggling because of the pandemic so the last thing I need is to be sued.

After their fees, the savings were minimal. They did not honor the payment schedule we agreed on after the first month. Twice during the process they informed me that they needed to add more payments AFTER negotiations had long been closed with my debtors. Added 6 months and $1800 to my original “settlements” even though those numbers never changed. Update - 2 star to 1 star. Today I was called by a representative from this company because of my review. Not to apologize or offer any solutions, but to be belittled and called a liar. The woman I spoke to told me conversations I had must have never happened because there weren’t notes and “we always put notes.” Told me that it was my fault that they changed my payment schedule because I should have called to ask questions then read to me the notes from when I called to ask questions. She then spoke to me in a very condescending way, explaining the process no less than four times after I told her “I understand the concept, but the execution could use a little work”. Ultimately I was misled, I was over charged, and at times flat out lied to. I also don’t appreciate being harassed for leaving a review that was true to my experience. My program is almost complete and I will be so happy to be done after 30 months of a 24 month process.

This was the worst financial decision I have ever made. We are trying to grt a house within the next year so I wanted to get my credit better so thought this would be a good start. I had my creditors calling me multiple times a day and sending multiple emails. My credit score actually dropped 75 points in 3 months. I csncellef and went back to the consolidation company I had in the past. Luckily I was only in the program for a short period of time. Don't recommend this company to anyone unless you want your credit to drop.

Keep in mind the score is a snapshot in time and is used by creditors to determine your creditworthiness. We have asked you not to incur any new liabilities during the debt resolution process so this shouldn't be an issue. Your credit score will improve as your accounts are paid off and any negative reporting stops. You have been in the program for two months and we take the first 4-7 months to build funds into your dedicated account so we can begin negotiating with the creditors. We have successfully settled thousands of credit card accounts each month for our clients and as this is a hardship program, we understand that this may not be a good fit for everyone.

I contacted Americor to help with my credit card debt. Lol since I signed up with GeeJay I am unable to get anyone on the phone. She gave me her email, phone and ext. She responds to none. I have never missed a payment on my credit cards now everything is pasted due, need guidance but I am UNABLE TO GET HELP I FEEL SCAMMED AND I KINDA WANT OUT! THINK ABOUT IT BEFORE U DO IT. This is incredibly sad. I’ve been using americor for about a year now. I have 4 cards within their program im trying to help with my debt. They have helped with 2 of the 4 cards but ’m currently being SUED for one of the ones they have not helped with. I’ve spoken to their “summons” department ONCE, a person by the name of Krista Phillips. Since then i've sent her several emails and have numerous times tried to get ahold of the number she provided as her direct line and ext and also several other numbers listed under americor, NO ANSWER. Usually I will be on hold for 10 minutes and then the call will completely cut off and hang up on me. This is all during business hours, only to be on hold then to be hung up on in the end without being able to get to ANYBODY. I have not heard one thing since I last spoke to her. I was left on my own to respond to the summons since I was not able to contact anyone there to pay them to help me respond. (WHICH THEY OFFERED, AS LONG AS I CONTACTED THEM 7 BUSINESS DAYS BEFORE SUMMONS RESPONSE WAS DUE. BUT NO ANSWER) I’m pregnant, I’m struggling, and I’m under severe stress as it is and to have these people so comfortably take my monthly payments without a hiccup, and not be able to contact me back in regards to something so important is very unsettling. Now im set for a pretrial conference and Ive lost all hope in them ever responding or answering their phones.

Americor started off strong with my accounts. Within one month, one account was settled! Of course, no one knows the exact amount that the credit card company will settle on, but I had already imagined when I would be out of debt, only to find out that it would drag a bit longer than usual. In the end, all of my accounts were settled and I am (hallelujah) debt-free, thanks to Americor! Your staff was wonderful, polite and so helpful!

All the negative comments are people that did not get the program. Is simple Math, you as a consumer got in debt and need to pay it back. Americor gives you a solution which you need to control your expenses and make the payments, their job is to reduce the debt. Does it hurt your credit? yes, can you get your credit back? yes... I finished my las payment last week after 3 years and I am thankful I'm debt free. People, dont complain... get with the program and make the payments, don't blame them for your mistakes.

I am really pleased to have an opportunity share with others my feelings about the experience I had today with Americor. When I received the mailout I was, at first, a bit skeptical. However, when the client advocate took the time to walk me through the details of how the plan works, I found my concerns fading away. He never failed to answer any of my questions in a way that was both professional and patient. I have been under the weight of this debt for years and could never seem to get the slightest bit ahead. I don’t know how I am seeing all these great reviews. They have got to be fake. I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy. With all their fees they didn’t save me any money. Almost got taken to court. Try anything else! Call your creditors yourself and work something out.

They are the worst. Jacqueline Schulte is useless. I never missed a cc payment, so i trust them and get i served papers from American express. I would've just paid it. So now i have to pay the interest and court fees. I have to file papers and take days off from work. They want me to go to court and tell the court I'm a dead beat. I still have 2 more accounts unsettled, so i now i have to worry about them. They send me a letter telling me it's like playing chess. Obviously they never played before cause you are always supposed to stay three steps ahead . Anybody know any legal action i can take against them.

They said I was going to be able to get a loan from them after 7 months to pay off all the credit cards and just pay them for the loan, at the end they did not give me the loan and I got sued by my credit company. They have been no help all they want is to take you money and take advantage of your situation.

Seemed great at first. Then one of my accounts went into collections. I sent the notice to Americor as instructed, status updated to reviewed on app. Nothing was done by them and now I’ve got a summons for court being sued by collection agency with nothing more than a give us additional funds to negotiate with or good luck in court. Maybe you could have contacted the collection agency and me to work something out BEFORE I got sued.

On boarding easy. But don’t believe what they say. Once in place they kept trying to increase the payment. Completely ignored a creditor that put me in garnishment for nonpayment when Americor told me to stop paying. When I called one representative tells me the notes on my account and that I would get a refund of unused funds in my account . When I was transferred to cancel my account ten minutes later there are no notes on my account and all funds would be used to cover fees. No refund. Also, they tell you to stop making payment on the accounts registered. That increases the debt owed, negotiated settlement and thus their fee. Fraudulent activity. It’s a ripoff!!

This company does not return your calls and do not send you information why they changed the amounts you pay monthly after you agree to a price and how long it would take to complete the program. They were to write a letter that they canceled it and never received it.

This company does have some good qualities, but their service is a bit misleading. On the positive side, their customer service team is most professional and easy to speak with. They will try to answer your questions in a timely manner. However, I did notice there were a few times when they told me they would call me back, but they never called back. Another positive is the client portal. It makes navigating through the program considerably easy. The interface is intuitive and organized, and I really appreciated that. Now on to the negatives. My biggest problem with this company (and why I've rated it 2 stars instead of 5) is that the program itself is a bit useless. What I mean by this is that Americor charges a "settlement fee" that is 25% of the current balance of the debt that you owe. So if you owe $10,000 on a credit card they will charge you a settlement fee of $2,500. In my case, they were able to get a settlement that was 22% less than the original balance, so I actually ended up paying more than what I would've owed if I had just kept making my regular payments. Why did I need Americor for this? On top of paying more money, my credit score tanked due to no longer making payments to the original company. I highly recommend people to only use this company if it is ABSOLUTELY necessary. The damage to your credit and then extra money you end up paying just isn't worth it. I got in to the program thinking Americor would help save me money while helping pay off my debt. I was wrong. Everything that Americor did, I could've taken care of myself and paid less money in the long run. You do not need this company. The company needs you. If you have the financial resources to make the bare minimum payment on your debt, I'd recommend doing that before inquiring about Americor. 2 stars

When I signed up 2.5 years ago I was told that I would have conference calls about my accounts from time to time, that has never happened. I have a summons to go to court for my last account. I added an extra $3,000 so Americro can make an offer. I was told I needed and extra $700 which I could do. Someone was suppose to call me to make that draft and that never happened. Within the last 3 weeks I have called in 3 times to discuss my account. Yesterday when I called in I was told there was enough in my account to make a settlement offer and someone would call me back by late this morning. I never received a call and called back again. Americor does not care enough to return my calls or to discuss my account. They are fine with me going to court in a few days. I wish I never would have hired them. It’s been a stressful headache.

I've been stressing every month about my bills and if I would be able to pay them on time and wondering if there was ever going to be an end to them. There was always something that came up making it impossible to pay more than the min each month so an end never seemed possible. Then I got mail for Americo and decided to give them a try. I signed up for a "Personal Line of Credit" with FastLoansFunding that was actually Americor 3 years ago and I was scammed. I was clearly told that "after a few regular payments, I would receive a line of credit that would clean up my credit report and boost my score". What I received was really a debt consolidation loan, and all the charged off debts only made my credit worse. After 24 months of never missing a payment and never receiving a "credit line", I had to go to the Better Business Bureau before I received what was just a loan for the balance of the program with Credit 9. After paying off that loans with interest and service charges, and paying taxes on the amounts saved on all the settled accounts, I don''t believe I saved much money and my credit score is still poor.

With much embarrassment, I decided to call so someone could help me consolidate my credit cards. With so much luck I spoke to Mr Dunn and with his great kindness, patience and especially his brilliance I was able to set up a payment plan that helped me and would eventually pay my credit cards off. This is the BIGGEST JOKE.. RUN. To start off they missed one of my accounts, after I told them 3 separate times. I fixed that account on my own (way easier than I thought). Then when I am few months away from being paid off I get a TEXT saying they need to add 14 more months to the original agreement because they HAVE NOT SETTLED all the accounts. This is the biggest scam and JOKE out there. They also send texts after hours when you cannot call and physically talk to someone.

Alot of false promises. They tell you there’s no fees after settling but there is. I have one account that I literally will owe more because of there fees and the little that they even saved wasn’t worth being in the program because I ended up owing more before if 25% fees they don’t tell you about after settling. Then if someone serves you papers like a notary, they don’t help you at all legally with that if you have to go to court or anything they don’t help they literally leave you in the dust. And if you only have one account left to pay they still take your totally money payment even or the payment for a creditor is 300 less then the monthly payment. Really frustrating.

There is no value for service unless you value smoke and mirror approaches to financial assistance. They provide you with one monthly payment and fail to inform you your initial payments could actually be three to four times larger if an account is over 90 Days. Their approach in fact will in the long run ultimately result in larger payments because you will inevitably end up with accounts over 90 Days with your debtor. Do additional research and work with a legitimate organization with credibility and a legitimate approach towards debt solutions. I would even suggest working with a government program to assist you if you qualify.

I've had to file papers with courts, write letters to judges, send multiple registered letters to lawyers....the headaches and stress never ends. I now have an actual hearing that I need to attend on June 2nd and Americor will not respond to me. I have sent them all my paperwork and multiple e-mails. I would have been better off continuing to make my minimal payments to my cc's rather than using this company. What they tell you when you sign up with them, and what they actually do, are completely different. Save yourself the stress and find an alternative! I wish I had!

My second run at Debt Restructuring. I was against it and just was searching for a lower consolidation loan rate. Rene explained it differently and I realize how I didn't use my first run at Debt Restructuring to MY full advantage. There is a component here that if you do it right ... it will make a huge difference in your finances. It will take commitment and focus, but it can make you debt free faster than you think. I needed some room to breathe financially. I wasn't sure what would be my best option....refinancing my car, taking out another personal loan. I called Americor. The person I spoke with, now my case worker, asked me questions about my financial situation, was very professional, never tried to "sell" me on their program, gave me the ins and outs of how everything works, went over everything in detail with me. They're helping me with 7 of my accounts that I owe the most. This is a loan, but they work with the creditors for you. My payments will be lower than what I was paying those 7 creditors all together! And I will only be paying them for 39 mths! I asked lots of questions, repeated back what I was told to make sure I clearly understood. They have emailed, and at my request, sending me a paper copy of the service agreement. They even have an app to track the status of the negotiations with the creditors, and your payments. Now I finally will have some financial breathing room!

The first conversation let us know we had the right company. Anu made us feel comfortable from the start. She took her time and explained the whole process in detail answering all our questions with courtesy...she is an amazing rep for Americor. She’s been so kind and sympathetic towards our situation. I advise anyone that receives a letter of a preaprroved loan from this company to proceed with extreme caution and take it with a grain of salt. If it seems to good to be true it probably is. I received a letter for a preaprroved loan of 11,504.00 with a locked in 5.99% APR. I told myself what a great way to pay my 3 credit cards off with a loan that had an APR much lower than what my creditors were charging. It turns out that letter is a ruse to lure in unsuspecting customers inclouding myself. Yes I did call them. It was a lesson I would not soon forget. I was connected to a fast talking rep. named Sean Soltani. As he was speaking, I found his sales pitch a little suspicious. I told him I received a letter about the loan. He took down personal/financial information that I assumed was part of the preapproval process to secure the loan. Little did I know then that he knew I didn't qualify for the loan before we even spoke. He ran my info and told me he had good and bad news. I didn't qualify for the loan but I did qualify for a secondary option, called a debt consolidation program. He made it seem like the program, he peddled on me, was better than the loan on the letter. He said the first 12 months there were no fees and after 32 months I would be debt free. Also I could save a considerable amount of money than the loan they offered. He also added that after the program my credit score would zoom up and I could easily apply for new lines of credit. Unfortunately, I took the bait. At the time, it seemed like a great solution to clear my debt, so I signed up with them. The contract alone is 42 pages long which made me a little suspicious also. The rep then told me not to use my three credit cards anymore. That I should wait until my creditors closed my accounts. For some reason that stood in my mind. After signing the contract, I stood up all night worrying about what he told me to do. I went online and did research. I came to the realization that this company preys on desperate financially strapped individuals with little options to resolve their debts. I found the basic premise of this company, for consolidating debt, was through late fees, default and settlements. In other words they destroy your credit to clear the slate clean erasing your debt. Not only did I find that my credit score will not go up with this program, but with defaulting and late fees to settle with my creditors, will eventually stay on my credit history for 7 years and impact future applications for lines of new credit. I knew this program was too good to be true. Immediately the next morning I called the company to cancel. This program, from my standpoint, is a step below filing bankruptcy. I could see someone, whose credit history is already damaged, to sign up with them. They have nothing to loose. But if you have the means to pay your creditors and your credit history is satisfactory this program is not for you. Building up credit is very hard so it is not wise to destroy your credit history to clear off debt. I believe this company deserves no more than one star. I find their way of deceptively luring customers, mailing them a letter for a preaprroved low APR loan, to peddle a secondary option, over the phone, that does more damage to one's credit history than the loan itself. Very sneaky and darn near outrageous. Yes outrageous because what disturbed me the most is how the agent, Sean Soltani, tried to downplay my fears of default and late fees that I pointed out before I signed up. He had to lie and tell me that the settlements were not a default and the late fees will be rectified once my creditors get their money in a settlement. He went on further stretching the lie by inferring once my credit is settled my credit score would zoom up and credit card companies would be lining up to get my business. No time did he ever mention that all this negative activity, of settling the debt, stays on for 7 years in credit history recorded by the three major credit reporting agencies.

Each representative that I have talked to has provided great customer service! Their attitude and services have helped me to see the positive during this stressful time. They have been very quick to contact my creditors and make arrangements to settle. Currently getting sued by one of our creditors and they failed to help us with any of it. They also are not very good at the very thing they say they do....negotiate. Literally everything they will tell you in the beginning is a lie and then they will gaslight you later by saying they never said what they said. Stay as far away from them as possible

I agree the agents are professional and decent. But that doesn't mean you end up getting ripped off (50% of saved amount) and you pay all ridiculous draft fees and wire fees. I don't suggest going with these guys. These guys show you beautiful numbers when they try to get you in and you end up paying more than what they initially told you. I am not sure why there are lot of positive reviews. If you know decent math, you will know that these guys really ripping off from you. Just FYI to everyone who try to settle their credit cards, Banks charge late payment fee and other fines if you miss payments. These guys will say that you should not make any payment once settlement process is initiated. This will eventually increase your total balance, which means it increases the amount that you pay to americor (which is 50% of what they negotiated). They won't tell you that you balance is eventually gonna endup going almost 20% higher. For example, If your credit card outstanding today is $10000. If you start the process they will say you might get settled for an amount of $7500 including their fees. Assuming your bank says okay for 50% settlement amount which is $5000 + $ 2500(americor fees) What actually happens is this $10000 may become $11000 outstanding. and these guys can get a max of around 52-57% So your settlement will be 6000(approx) + $2500 + their ram fees + wire fees. You will end up paying more than $1100 than actual anticipated amount. So you will eventually end up paying $8600+ for your $10000 amount and having a mark in your credit history that you settled for less amount. I suggest you talk with your bank on day one and take easy EMI and not end up in this mess. This is from my own experience

I recently did some searches for Debt Consolidation, and went to Lending Tree. I filled out some information, and it lead me to Americor. I was connected with a wonderful woman name Judy. She is spectacular! She talked with me for a bit to figure out what I was trying to do for myself. I came onto some hard times, and had to use my credit cards to bail out my family for simple need.
