I needed a loan and I tried to get one for my bracelet. My bracelet did not come out to the amount I needed and one of the clerks saw my chain and asked if I would like to pawn the chain. I did not want to because it was very precious to me. I left the store and thought for a second to my self that I really need the cash. I then came back inside and explained to them how valuable it is to me. They explained that I have nothing to worry about and that it will come back the same way I left it. That was a lie. I saw the man put my chain in a mini envelope and stapled it. I come back I believe 2-3 weeks later and my chain was twisted up and definitely not the way I gave it or the way the Clerk had placed it in the mini envelope. As the days go on, having my chain around my neck it dose not feel the same and it also twists on it’s own around my neck. I pay attention to detail like there is no tomorrow and I am very upset and disappointed that I put my trust and money into Empire loan just not to get treated with the proper service I deserve as a customer. I told the manger how I felt the same day i went to take out the chain. I saw it the way I just explained and he told me we don’t pay attention to how we put the jewelry in the envelope and he told me sometimes we switch envelopes to see what we have in inventory. He told me not to worry, that just because it twisted you can put it back to how it was and it will be fine which was true on what he said but it is not fine. Now for owners who own jewelry knows there are certain things you can’t do with jewelry and there’s a certain way to take care of it. One of them is not sleeping with your jewelry and Etc. I feel completely betrayed form the company and the little trust we established among each other.

I have been coming to Empire Loan for the last 25 years they have helped me pick out some very expensive jewelry that I wanted and could not buy any other way I enjoy the brokers who work there and love looking at the many different pieces of jewelry which is always. Before I know about empire I used to go to Suffolk and I bought something and I didn't want it cuz I was walking out the store and I was like I'm going to return this one and I had another item it was a watch that I kept it wouldn't take the item back well they took it back but they didn't give me my money they gave me a voucher to buy more things you can't buy nothing and Suffolk for $50. So I went into empire next time when I needed to do something and those people treat you with the utmost respect their kind they're very professional they watch out for their customers I'll never go back to them to Suffolk they can keep my $50 but I mean that is so wrong it just takes somebody's money I don't understand that I'm much happier with empire and I will recommend them to anybody it's a fantastic place and they do a good business because they know how to run it appreciate it by your customer thank you empire. Not worth the trip, they’ll offer you 10% and the business in general is just very unprofessional with employees yelling profanities at each other while they’re helping customers. Just a bad experience, would not recommend, plan ahead and use Craigslist for a more profitable and comfortable experience. I’m surprised there are any good reviews, I would put money on betting they bought them through one of those reputation companies or they incentivize staff/some customers because none of those reviews sound anything like my experience lol

I've used Empire Loan a number of times over the years... NEVER have I ever had any difficulties or problems with a loan or the staff. The staff is ALWAYS polite and helpful.

Staff persons are very friendly. The process of taking out a loan on my laptop was pretty easy and simple to do. It is reassuring to know that if I need some cash on-the-fly it can be done fast and efficiently. I will definitely keep doing business with Empire.

Empire Loan is a great pawn and loan shop. They are very cooperative with the loan interest payment. And as long ad you are good at communicating with them. They will assist you with your situation. I have had my gold in their shop for a few years making interest payments. And today I finally paid to get my gold home. I am so happy with their service and cooperation. I give them two thumbs up.

This place did not give a fair estimate for the value of the items I was selling. In spite of the quality of the item they wanted to give me 30% of the LOWEST price they could find on EBay. It was a massive waste of my time; I’ve had great experiences with pawn shops in other places but this was by far the worst.

I LITERALLY just walk out of this place WITHOUT being service 🤨 Like really, their were (4) employees (1) lady cleaning, but they act like I wasn't a customer. Didn't say anything to me. Fed up, walked out. #Weird

This was my 1st time ever going into a pawn shop to do any type of business. I was crazy nervous of what people told me and worried I would not get the best deal. Well to my surprise it went as smooth as silk when conducting my business! I read the reviews for a couple of pawn shops in the greater Boston area and Empire not only had the best reviews, but thay also replied to both the good and bad reviews with full details of the issue. Customer service was fantastic! Juan was very honest and helpful. My only negative comment is the low, low, low money I was loaned for an expensive pair of custom made diamond earrings. I was only given the value of the gold, not the blue diamonds. The low interest is why I went ahead with the pawn. (Revising, months after above review) While I still say that they should be willing to loan on more than just the weight of the gold, I have returned here several times and have always a great customer experience. They’re honest, consistent, and professional. Always the same rules, always the same prices; it lets me know that the numbers they arrive at are not just because they feel like that’s what they want to give you. No, they have set algorithms they go by. I have, and will continue to do business here. Plus, they have a great layaway program!

One of the many really nice people at this location is Bob. He deals with the public and as I'm experienced in sales and customer service in a trainer capacity I have often thought if I could film this guy at work there's all the training material I would need. He is ultimately a true professional. And can say that 2 rings and 4 pairs of diamond earrings later. :). I didn't get to see him yesterday as I retrieved my items but the gentleman who helped me was a big man with a commanding presence. Yet he was engaging and made the process less cumbersome. It must be a great place to work because most of my interactions have made me trust and rely on this company for over 10 yrs. A lot of times I stored my jewelry there because I know its safe.
