I did a refinance on an auto loan. I had Evelyn Mena as a loan officer.. She was wonderful. She answered all my questions. I provided her with the documents she needed. She quickly had my loan drawn up and ready to sign. My experience with her and Finex Credit Union was easy and fast. I would HIGHLY recommend them.

Very knowledgeable and willing to go the extra mile for their members. Mary helped get approval of a car loan for me. She walked me through the step by step process and made herself readily available to me. I highly recommend this credit union!

At first, everything was moving along. I wanted to transfer my auto loan to finex, and basically, I had to do all the leg work. Not a big deal since I was on vacation anyways. But after I sent in all the necessary information to get approved. There was no response. Days went by and it was nearing into a week! My phone calls and emails were ignored. Finally when I called and got through, I was told "they lost" my email address? hmmmm ok then. It only got worse from here. I was never told I would have to wait 7 months before I can set up automatic payments I was never told I couldn't access my account online or via a phone app I was supposed to set up the account myself, but they did it I guess? I was never told about this or was given this information? No information given about my account number or loan number When I addressed all this information to Josephine Gonzalez, she just brushed everything off with a whatever attitude. Then she snarkily replied "well, you chose us". What does that mean? How am I supposed to know anything about your business practices on payments, or even how you run your company? When I asked her this, she HUNG UP ON ME! lol wow very professional. You know what, I still didn't get any information about my loan or anything with that phone call. I understand if this company is very busy.. No problem, hey it happens. But at the very least, schedule times with your clients to discuss whats going on, or at the very least contact your clients! Working with this company and processing a loan was the most stressful experience I've ever had with any company. Having to call and leave 5 messages, and send out tons of emails without a clear response on anything, is just bad business practice. To be honest, just go somewhere else that deserves your time and money. They certainly think there time is much more important than yours.

Samantha B. at the Burnside Avenue location did a fantastic job with financing our auto loan. She took care of everything in a timely manner and was very knowledgeable about the entire process. Finex Credit Union of East Hartford looks out for their members in their time of need. in the loan department Miss Josephine Gonzalez is amazing she is very efficient makes no promise but she will do her best in helping you with the result you may need. in my case I got approve for the loan I apply for. Miss Gonzalez is quick in reply by an email. She listen, with understanding of her member issues. I can say at the Finex Credit Union of East Hartford the representative is more of a family culture setting with a smile and eager to help their members. Ammmaaazzinnngg...I have been a member of Finex Credit Union since 2010 and my experience has been nothing but spectacular. I have worked with Josephine in the loan department on multiple occasions but my recent car buying experience puts the icing on the cake. I informed her at 2pm that my wife and I found a car at the dealership and buy 4pm I was able to work with her and pick up a check to finance the purchase. She was thorough in reviewing the purchase order, always available for my calls and very helpful in setting my the terms. Thanks Finex and thanks Josephine :) :) :)

Staff who opened my checking account did not uncover my needs or ask additional questions. The rest of the conversation was held via text, which is very informal. You would think that is an opportunity to connect and welcome a client. Very terse and quick to end the conversation. The overall services seem great and others have been professional. My brother said great things about the company so I know it is a good one. Overall, I am glad I chose this credit union.

Mary Sullivan was extremely helpful in every way with me getting my loan. Started off with a few simple emails with some information regarding loans. Upon her first couple emails she made me feel very comfortable asking her anything regarding a possible loan. Well it didn’t take me long to decide that I was going with Finex Credit Union. She made you feel like you were already her friend and made it so easy in answering any questions I had. She always stayed in contact with me without any pressure at all regarding the loan. Whether it was an email, phone call or text she always kept me in the loop and was always there to answer all my questions even if it just the simplest minor question. I have been a member of Finex Credit Union for ten years and I swear I would never change. The main reason I love Finex is because of Kelli Cordner she is the best. I have worked closely with Kelli for years and honestly she is the best asset to Finex she is very personable but also has great knowledge.
