Literally would give negative stars if I could First off, i would like to go on record and say my credit isn’t the worst. Was just approved for 2 credits cards with relatively high limits to help throughout this process when Mariner was busy doing nothing. I applied for a loan on 6/9. My car broke down and I needed a new engine. I applied online and it took a week for me to hear that it was going to be forwarded to a local branch. I called and the representative I spoke with said they would call me once they received my application from the online database. Fast forward a week. I get a call and they go over a bunch of stuff regarding my finances and employment. The woman i spoke with was extremely rude when I told her I did not recognize an account. i was told they would get back to me. I called in one day to see if I could get an update about my loan status. A man answered and when I asked to speak to the rep handling my case, he said she “just stepped away from her desk”. When I asked if she could return my call when she could, I got a sarcastic “sure” and he hung up! Did not even take my name or phone number. Fast forward ANOTHER week- one week after my call in. I get a call regarding clarification about my employment. I am told I will hear “something soon” Fast forward ANOTHER week- i get ANOTHER call about what repairs to my car need done. That was 10 days ago- have not heard a peep since. Moral of the story- I am not convinced this a legit lender. In order to protect myself and my information I am going to file a complaint with the BBB in the hopes they can do something. Safe yourself the time and hassle of going through this lender unless you are in dire need of help! Wish i could save myself the trouble

Applied for a loan and anticipated I would have an answer in a short time frame (24 hours). Tried to access my application on their website and had trouble locating my account. Had to call their number, and it ended up going to a voice-mail. I didn't leave a message for callback because I knew they would call me when I was in a meeting. Sent an email instead. Got a response a day later about the status of my application. Got a phone call from someone at the company welcoming me to the team I was a little weirded out by this but appreciated the effort of being friendly. Not overly upset about anything other than the fiasco to find out my application status.

I am a 75 year old Retired individual from psychiatric service, & during my 40 year career it was my privilege to work with others who displayed these three attributes of professional excellence, & which I observed & sensed in conducting business with the staff of the Mariner Finance Group. The Mariner team treated me as a human being & not just another “customer number. The staff knew their knowledge base & how to apply it to give me the best deal while still being honest in transactions. They cared about my concerns sd a senior citizen with the inevitable impairments of old age. They treated me with respect & deference for my age & senior status. What a breath of fresh air! The only place that was actually able to be there for me when everybody else and in all lenders turned their backs on me was Mariner Finance they went all the way to lend me the money that I needed so that I can get out of debt , the rate was great the money was great ,when no one wants to give you a helping hand go to mariner finance they are the best to help you so that you can achieve the the goals that you need whether they are personal or financial ,go to Mariner Finance when nobody wants to help you or give you a lending hand …… mariner finance is the best

I have received loans from Mariner Finance a few times. This online experience was easy however in comparison with other loan companies, the 24-72 hour time frame to receive funds was a bit disappointing. I received a loan from another company and the money was deposited into my account within minutes of my approval. That was surprising and helpful.
