Long overdue review - I have done two refinances (in 2017 and 2020) with Anthony Bird and Riverbank Finance. I cannot say enough about the professionalism, understanding, communication and competency of Anthony and his team. In my most recent refinance I wasted a lot of time and effort contacting other brokers and lenders just to prove to myself that Riverbank was providing the best service and lowest overall cost for my loan. Josh, nice guy but you can't trust him. Malina, the slimiest type of glad handler. DO NOT trust these folks. I'll quote Josh to close this review. He told me "I'm not a professional." They cost me $1500 because of their mistakes. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY.

Kelsey Robinson is THE person to have in your corner. She worked with my wife and I to purchase our perfect first home in less than a month. The communication was easy, the process was thorough, and Kelsey was championing for us every step of the way. 10/10

I am a 40+ yo first time homebuyer. I wanted to choose a local mortgage broker because I like to support local business, and Riverbank was one of the few where there appeared to be more than 1 woman and/or person of color working there! I was assigned Tomas as my broker. I was able to get preapproved relatively quickly. However, it was clear that because of my slightly less than 700 credit score, I was not a valuable client to Riverbank. When it came down to signing for the loan, I had to get 2 other lenders to give me offers with better terms and lower rates to get him to look for a better loan for me, despite me asking him several times to rerun my credit (which had increased marginally since my prequal). Despite the fact he knew my closing deadline, and the fact the appraiser had already toured the house 2 weeks prior, there was no effort to get the appraisal report in an expedited manner, and my realtor was blamed for not communicating with him, when I know they were communicating with him constantly. We didn't make the closing date and barely closed the week after. I am hoping this is a case of unconscious bias - but I was treated as if I was an uneducated, incompetent, emotional, unreasonable, and unimportant client. Single ladies steer clear.

We recently refinanced with Anthony Bird and we had a wonderful experience. He was always quick to respond to my questions (and I had a lot) and he spent a lot of time looking into our different mortgage options to make sure we were getting the best deal.
