On many recommendations, I walked into Torrington Toyota looking for my next vehicle. I spoke with the Dan and he put me in great hands with Tee. From there it was the easiest car purchasing experience I have ever had. The price was extremely fair for what the current insane market dictates. The communication was prompt and I never felt out of the loop. Nothing was forced on me once we headed to the finance manager's office and after a few signed papers my beautiful 4Runner was on the road headed home. I would like to publicly thank Dan and Tee for making feel great about his purchase!

Danny and Larry made buying a car hassle-free. There ware no secret meetings between our salesman and the manager; we negotiated with the manager. Recently completed the purchase of a Tacoma TRD Off Road and it was the best car buying experience I have ever had. I have been researching midsize SUVs for the past six months. I found a 2021 forerunner at Torrington Toyota. I emailed them a note with my interest in test driving this vehicle. My email was immediately answered by Tee Hamzy in the sales department. I set up an appointment to meet up with Tee. When I arrived, Tee had the vehicle all warmed up and ready to go! When I sat down with Tee to purchase the vehicle, he was very helpful, to the point, and polite. He answered all of my questions and helped me navigate through the loan process. Truly wonderful experience!!! Came from out of state to pick up a very unique GR86 and the entire dealership treated me like a long term customer for the whole transaction. Tee Hamzy was my salesman and he really treated me like family. Tracked the car all the way to the dealership and gave me updates every step of the way. It is rare how honest and tranparent he was with me. Such a breath of fresh air. The finance manager was excellent, he never tried to upsell me or play any salemanship, he just wanted to genuinely educate me to help me make the right decisions for me regarding warranty, etc. i am now looking for a Tacoma and would be more than willing to travel across two states just to repeat the service and care I received at Torrington Toyota. 5 stars all the way!

Fortunate to find a dealer within 2 hours of me who was not charging a dealer adjustment on a RAV4 hybrid. Spoke to Dan and worked with Randy K. to find me an allocation in my color and with the options that I wanted. They were upfront about all costs and they did not try to pack on any hidden fees during the buying process from ordering to the finance office. If's refreshing to find a dealer that will be straight with you.

No sales pitches, no unnecessary pressure to get things done to your car other than what you requested. they listen to you and realize not everyone has money to burn and give you what you need and ask for. I recently purchased my 2013 Camry Hybrid from Torrington Toyota. Larry Valenta was my salesman. He answered every single question and addressed every single concern I had. I recently leased a new 2019 RAV4 and my experience couldn’t have been better. Tee and the entire staff that I interacted with were friendly and informative. I tend to ask a lot of questions and never felt rushed or pressured, it was all very laid back and comfortable. Update 2022: I came back to Torrington Toyota at lease end and got a new Hybrid RAV4. I worked with Tee and his team and they were the best! They make the process incredibly easy and no pressure. They took the time to answer my questions and run multiple scenarios with me. I couldn't see a reason to go anywhere else in the future.

If there was a review score that could be higher I would give it.. I have purchased 3 vehicles from this dealership, most recently today, and I have never ever been let down by them in either sale or parts and service, professionals full out. Randy helped get the ball rolling on my trade in, getting me the best value he possibly could have, Larry is a Jedi master of his craft, answering questions on the cars I was checking out I didn't even know I had, and Jesus in finance is appropriately named as he works miracles. Awesome customer service ! We were looking for a new car and I have always wanted a RED 4 RUNNER, when we pulled in that day there was one sitting in the parking lot I was soo excited and hoping it had not been sold, Tee came out and asked if he could help us and I told him that I was interested in the RED 4 RUNNER , he immediately said that it was available for purchase and that I could take it for a drive well needless to say I fell in love ! I picked it up the following day. Service was very quick and we did not feel pressured at all by any member of the staff that we dealt with both days . I highly recommend them !!! We just purchased a Tacoma and having purchased cars from a dealer several times previously, we were expecting the usual high pressure run around. This was not our experience with Tee Hamzy. He was very knowledgeable and did not pressure us at all. Our experience with Torrington Toyota was very good and we would not hesitate to recommend them.

Purchased a new vehicle from Torrington Toyota and was very pleased with the experience and service. I was shopping around for a RAV4 Prime and was getting quoted a large markup on top of MSRP from the local dealerships in my area. I contacted Torrington after reading their positive reviews from out of towners. I dealt with Tee Hamzy from the start and found him to be very straight forward, helpful and extremely responsive to all of my questions during the process. This was all done remotely and there was no markup. His timelines were spot on from delivery of the vehicle to port and to the dealership and I was able to plan accordingly with my rental at the time. Tee also made sure to shop around the loan to ensure the best rate on financing. When it was time to pickup the car, he had everything ready for me and Jesus Roche was also great to deal with in going over the terms and paperwork. My wife’s Lexus had a service and she came back home I open the hood and notice that the coolant was completely empty. I called them and the guy in charge told me that the mechanic probably forgot to fill it up. I just wonder how much trust is in this shop, did they check all the cars fluids??? . I’m not coming back to this place!!!!

I live 200 miles away so I was worried about buying a car remotely and how I would be treated. Need not worry. Their sales consultant Randy Klonowski was super responsive. He gave me a quote, sent me the docs, and answered all the questions I have by email or phone. I made the 3.5 hrs drive and he was waiting to greet me at the door when I arrived. I signed the papers in less than 10 min (yes I read the docs). There was no sales pitch or BS. Everything was exactly as agreed. Randy brought me to the car that's waiting in the indoor heated bay. I must have the biggest grin on my face when I saw my brand new 2021 Rav4 Prime. Randy spent the next 20 min or so patiently walked me over the features. I could not ask for a better sales consultant. Randy was honest, courteous, and super chilled. I am very happy with my purchase experience at Torrington Toyota!

Overall, Torrington Toyota was the best car buying experience I have ever had, which says a lot because in the current auto market most dealers treat you like they have you over a barrel. From the get go our salesman, Larry Valenta, was incredibly friendly and helpful. He helped us locate a hard to find model and went above and beyond to make the process easy for us, he even called our insurance agent ahead of time to make sure they would be available when we went to pick up our new car. As soon as we arrived Larry was waiting for us and didn't just rush us in to do paperwork. He took us out for a test drive and talked with us like we were old friends. They were incredible fair with their pricing and trade-in value even when they didn't have to be. Damon in finance worked extra hard to get us a terrific interest rate too! My wife and I drove almost two hours to Torrington Toyota because they were the only dealership within reasonable driving distance that had what we were looking for. We did not expect such a flawless experience. Larry was exceptional, and the whole team treated us like we were friends, not customers. There are 5 Toyota dealerships within 15 minutes of us, but without a doubt my wife and I will head back to Torrington for our next Toyota. Thank you so much Larry and Torrington Toyota!

Randy made buying a truck a great experience, from the kind welcome to the relaxed approach throughout the process. We liked how he followed up soon after meeting us and answered all our questions without any pressure to purchase. Once we decided to move forward he kept us updated on the delivery. You can tell he enjoys helping people and ensures they get the right vehicle for them. He made us feel comfortable and welcome, even though our 2yr old was running around looking for something to do. Luckily they even had a little play area that kept him occupied for a bit. They gave us the best deal, and yes, we looked around and did our homework. The guys at Torrington Toyota were straight forward and we will be sending our friends and family there from now on.

This Toyota dealership service center charges an outrageous amount of money just for a car diagnostic. Not to mention, I just bought a vehicle from them. I would definitely not reccommend going here. I called multiple auto shops after I returned home and they quoted me for a free car diagnostic.

I inquired about a 2022 Tacoma TRD Sport that I saw on the website. The car hadn't been delivered yet but I was sent the spec sheet and knew I wanted it having already test drove one a few months ago. I initially dealt with Randy and he reserved the truck for me. Then was handed off to Tee. Both of them are awesome and really great guys. I reached out to the dealership to request the purchase order ahead of the delivery date so I could get the ball rolling on my financing. It was Tee's day off so I unfortunately had to work with Dan Urso. This is where the deal went sour. I received the purchase order and the "Retailer's Conveyance Fee" was unreasonable at $699 and there was also a Vin Etch charge at $199. I tried to negotiate the Conveyance Fee down to $500 and said I did not want the the Vin etch. Danny called me and said they wouldn't negotiate either. I said I was no longer interested. I ended up speaking to Tee the following day when he was back and he initially said since the vehicle hadn't arrived so he could have the vin etch charge removed. Apparently when the vehicles arrive at the dealership, they immediately etch them so they can charge customers this bogus $200 fee that costs them probably $5 to do. At that point I was willing to pay the $699 conveyance fee as long as the vin etch was removed. He then reached out and said Danny was unwilling to remove the vin etch. Talk about a sleazy move. I know they don't care because the vehicle will sell regardless and some other person will get charged the extra fees and will pay them. However I just hope this review reaches the Google audience to show a typical dealership pulling their scumbag ways. P.S., make sure Tee and Randy get their $17 for the only positive part of this review. 1/27/22 Update to Torrington Toyota's response: First off I did not use derogatory language. I simply said I did not want the vehicle with these charges, and then yes I did hang up. Also you claim to not charge above MSRP yet you force customers to get a useless service such as VIN etching to increase profit. So in the grand scheme of things, you're really finding a way around charging customers more than MSRP by the use of a charge that is noted as "option" on the purchase order but truly isn't.

I drove about an hour to be able to work with Tee from Torrington Toyota for my new Honda Odyssey 2021! He was super easy to work with and made the whole process seamless. I am from New York and they were very accommodating making sure I could drive the car off the lot the next day and even gave me dealership plates until they were able to register me with NY. They have really stepped up their customer service and I had the best experience so far on my recent visit. Keep up the good work and great staff! Update: Just bought another new vehicle from them. Tee got the job done as always despite the vehicle shortage. Many thanks to Tee. He always takes great care of my family. Update 2/2022 Well unfortunately all good things come to and end. Despite the strong sales team, the service dept. has went back to their old ways. I recently had the pleasure of getting duped by Glen. I was less than impressed and unfortunately it was enough to say I nor my wife will be using the service dept. for anything anymore. It was sad to have a long time relationship destroyed by a shady employee! I am deducting 2 stars for my experience with Glen. The other three stay because Tee did such an awesome job.

I worked with Tee and the team at Torrington Toyota to buy a pre-owned Prius v. I found the experience to be excellent from start to finish. They took care of all my needs throughout the car buying buying process, which is saying a lot. Buying a car can be really stressful, but not at all at Torrington Toyota. I want to add that the car was so clean when I picked it up (shout out to the detail team) , and the service department also changed the tires and brakes to make sure that it was delivered to me in practically brand new condition. I tried out some SUVs and decided on a Highlander. I went to a few dealers and never got the straight scoop on my options and was told I'd have to wait months just to get a 2021. Then I went to Torrington Toyota and was fortunate to have Larry Valenta wait on me. I found Larry to be honest and he suggested if I could wait a few weeks (turned out to be only 3) that I could order a 2022 instead of running all over for a 2021 and at just about the same price. I am now the proud owner of a 2022 Highland Hybrid in the color I wanted with the options I wanted. I can't thank Larry enough for his honesty and guidance. We had some minor service done to our 2015 Prius and ended up buying a 2020 RAV4. To be honest we were looking to trade-in the Prius but we didn’t expect to buy a new car right away. As usual the service department was very friendly and proficient. We had purchased the Prius from Randy in 2015 and were happy to find him still with Torrington Toyota. He is pleasant and accommodating and willing to work with his customers. We highly recommend contacting him when you are looking for a vehicle. Damon, the Business Manager, answered all our financial concerns. He helped make the financial part of the transaction as painless as possible. (I know this seems impossible.) Dave was another part of the Torrington Toyota team that helped answer our questions and made us feel comfortable in purchasing our new car. Later on we found out he was the owner.
